Lenson Donates Paintings

Son of muralist donates work – Nutley Sun

Barry Lenson recently donated two paintings by his father, Michael Lenson, to the Nutley Museum in honor of the Class of 1967. Lenson was a Nutley resident for 30 years who’s studio resided in his home at 16 Enclosure.

Lenson was the head of the NJ branch of mural projects of the Federal Art project, a part of the Works Progress Administration during the thirties and early forties.

His paintings can also be found on the walls of Newark City Hall and the main post office of Mount Hope, West Virginia.
